Telecoms Major Account Manager – Madison Parker International

Our client is an international market leader in the telecommunications sector with operations in over 3 continents and 35 countries. With a workforce of over 15000 employees they are expanding operations in The Netherlands and are now looking for key players to join their team in North Holland. They are currently looking to employ an experienced Major Account Manager.
This role is required to support and manage one major account for the company; handling the A-Z of the service agreement and acting as the integral spider in the web for full satisfaction delivery. The main tasks within this position will be set but not limited to the following:
Acting as first point of contact for the major account. Remaining calm regardless of the issue and then finding solutions internally before reporting back to the client;
Handling incoming phone calls; providing pricing and proposals, resolving questions/problems; following-up on unresolved issues and identifying opportunities for sales solutions, including cross selling and up selling opportunities, with a specific focus on outbound lead generation;
Solve customer problems as the sole point of contact with the support internally of the sales staff, engineers and technical support. Resolving customer questions/problems and follow-ups to ensure that concerns were resolved to the client’s satisfaction;
Process customer inquiries, quotes and orders and administer correctly in order entry program;
Customer account maintenance and improvement is the main aspect of this position;
Coordination and communication with the account on a daily basis building a strong and effective relationship.

Requirements

At least 5+ years of experience managing and developing a multinational account as a key account manager;
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in front of the customer at all times is essential, this roles requires seniority and the ability to instil confidence in the key client;
Farmer style approach to up selling, its all about the relationship;
Must have the ability to upsell products to the client 30% of the time;
Fluent in English both written and spoken is essential, Dutch would be an advantage;
Experience within consumer electronics or networking environment would be an advantage;
International Corporate business experience is essential;
Must be willing to travel to Amsterdam and occasionally Venlo on a regular basis, a company car will be provided;
HBO / degree level education is essential, preferably in a technical discipline;
Experienced in long term relationship building with one major client and solution selling;
Persons should have multinational telecom service provider experience;
Experience in managing strategic accounts ;
Stress resistant working to tight deadlines;
Managing several projects simultaneously;
Internal communication skills;
Team player;
Articulate reporting and prioritization skills;
Not a 9-5 mentality;
Must be able to work within the Amsterdam area
Be able to work in a multicultural team
Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Must have proactive, hands on approach and willing to help out where necessary, not just within remit of a job description.
